Got Unanswered Prayers?  Dawn Fields
 Aug 07, 2008 15:32 PDT

Ok, this is how it happens. You go to God and ask for something, put
everything you know about faith behind it…and then you wait. And you
wait. And you wait. Seems as if what you asked for is taking forever to
manifest.

What happened to it? Did it get lost or something? Maybe it was sent to
your old address? Did it go to someone else? Where is what you asked God
for?

Is it me, or does sometimes it feels as if God is taking forever to
manifest what you prayed and asked for?

Ever wonder why?

Why, after going to God, praying and believing, not looking at the
circumstances and only believing the word, does it often take a long
time for your desires to manifest?

To be honest, I really don’t know. LOL. Sometimes I think, perhaps we do
not REALLY believe strong enough. But it FEELS like we really
believe—right? So, why it is not happening?

When I was meditating on that this morning, I was brought to the story
of Abraham and Sarah. Do you know it was 10 years before Abraham and
Sarah received the promise from God that they would have a son? Ten
years? Well, I don’t have 10 years to wait for what I’m asking God for
so I hope He brings it to me before then, but I state this because our
time is not always God’s time. But there were certain things God told
Abraham to do that would help him manifest the promise. Perhaps if we
use the same example, our promise will manifest too (hopefully before 10
years).

The first thing God did was plant a mental image of His promise in
Abraham’s mind. He told him to count the number of stars in the sky.
That was how he was going to bless Abraham with as many descendants as
there were stars in the sky--countless. So, whenever Abraham had doubts,
to be reminded of God’s promise, all he had to do was think of this
image.

Then, God changed his name from Abram to Abraham, meaning “I am the
father of many nations.” Every time Abram was introduced, he was
confessing over and over and over again that he was the father of many
nations.

Next, they had to get out of their own way. Remember how they tried to
use their human “thinking.” Sarah said, “Maybe God meant YOU were going
to have a child and not me. So have one with my maidservant.” That
wasn’t God’s plan that was Sarah’s human plan. But just like it happens
today, when we jump in and try to do it our way, it never works out for
the best. God’s way is always the best.

So, in order to INCREASE the manifestation of your desires, just follow
the blue print God gave to Abraham—get a mental image of what you
desire. ONLY think about that mental image. Ignore the circumstances or
the “facts.” Just focus on your visual, which will soon be your reality.

Next, speak the truth. Say ONLY what you want to desire in your life.
Words are powerful. Confess what you want and not what you don’t.

Finally, let go and let God. Don’t try to make it happen yourself. There
is nothing for you to manifest what you desire--unless you are inspired
to do something. Just because it isn’t happening when you think it
should have happened, doesn’t mean God isn’t already working on it for
you. JUST KEEP THE FAITH.

Until next time.

Be blessed!
